Data deletion

• Your user account and login, including your profile name and email.
• Your organization workspace and its settings.
• Your Facebook Page connection, including the stored Page access tokens and our Messenger webhook subscription for that Page.
• Messenger conversation data: conversations, messages, customer records created from Messenger senders, and stored webhook events.
• Uploaded business files, the knowledge extracted from them and their search embeddings.
• Your Captain conversations and any assistant history in your workspace.

AI usage and billing records may be retained in an aggregated or minimally identifying form where we need them for accounting and dispute resolution. Everything else is deleted.

You do not need to contact us to stop Messenger processing. Log in, open Messenger and press Disconnect on the connected Page. This removes the stored Page access token and our webhook subscription immediately, and no further messages for that Page are received or answered.

You can also remove StaffBud from your Facebook account at any time under Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites, which revokes our access to your Pages.

Log in and open Knowledge. You can delete an uploaded file, which also removes the knowledge extracted from it, or delete individual knowledge items. Deleted items are no longer used for any reply.

Email support@messenger-ai-base.lovable.app from the email address on your StaffBud account with the subject "Delete my account". Include your workspace name. We will confirm the request, delete your account and workspace data as described above, and confirm once it is done. We aim to complete deletion requests within 30 days.

StaffBud implements Facebook's data deletion callback. When you remove StaffBud from your Facebook account and request data deletion through Facebook, Facebook calls our endpoint with a signed request that we verify against our app secret. We then delete the Facebook-derived data linked to that Facebook user: stored Facebook user and Page access tokens, and the webhook subscription state for the Pages that user connected, and we record the request with a confirmation code.

Facebook returns a status URL containing that confirmation code. Opening it shows the status of the request on this page. The callback endpoint used by Facebook is:

Deleting Facebook-derived data through the callback does not delete your StaffBud account itself, because a StaffBud account can exist without Facebook. To delete the account as well, email us as described above.
